Achievement Of Amateur Wireless Society by 2010/2011 committee

Things that 2010/2011 committee has achieved :

1. Motorola Trip        [July 2010]     

           

2. One Fm Trip organize with Communication Service Group [December 2010]

           

3. Number of members 2011 (167person) , last year 2010(117person)         

            

4. T-shirt  [March 2011]

   We have solved the problems that we have no T-shirt for members for 3 years          

   

5. Name Tag for all Amateur Wireless Society committee [September 2010]

                               

6. International Student Camp 2010 and 2011

On year 2010, school used the P.A. set from outside and we only work on arranging the mic stand and microphone. Other smaller events are handled by us.

On year 2011, school used our own P.A. system. Wireless Society success to handle the opening ceremony attended by Dr. Koh Tsu Koon , closing ceremony, cultural night and other events in ISC that involve hall, auditorium and yuxiuting P.A system.

     

7. MBS [P.A Service] [2011]

   The is the first time we had our P.A system service outside the school

                                   

8. Hall P.A system upgraded to 8 channels, New Amplifier. [May 2011]

   Thanks to Mr Boon, ex-president of Amateur Wireless Society.

9. We have a large income on 2010/2011, total RM2000 [2011]

10. International Safety and Health Conference about  [April 2011]

     First International duty handled by our society on 2010 year in school hall.

11. HAM Duty [Penang Bridge International Marathon] [November 2010]

  

12. Combine Camp (pcghs) [August 2011]

13. P.A. system Service price list has been fixed.

14. Electronic Quiz open to whole school.

Smaller achievement

15. Store room has been clean and both classes are use for normal activities.

16. Normal Activity – Cross Country Run ( HAM and PA)

                                       - Hill Climbing (HAM)

      Both activity is such a success.

17. Every department involve P.A., H.A.M., Electronics and Asset has their own file. Every update are clip in the file. President and treasurer each has 1 file. Secretary has 5 files.

18. 10 members have took part RAE examination on JUNE. 

19. Notice board has change the decoration. While nothing special for this one LOL.

            2010/2011 committee has dismissed on 20^th July 2011. New committee list will be update soon. P.A price list will be update too. Sorry for grammatical mistakes.

Thanks to the co-operation of all 2010/2011 committee =D. Really thanks a lot. Special thanks to Chang Wei Chew  the head of P.A. system department and Lee Chong Tsen the secretary. Hope 2011/2012 committee will put in their effort in bringing up Amateur Wireless Society =).

Trip to Motorola Factory Penang. 28/07/2010

Motorola

For the first time, Amateur Wireless Society was able to visit such a famous factory. It was a wonderful visit and was also considered as the first move by the new committee to bring the society to greater heights! The organizing president, Lee Chong Tsen who is the current secretary of the society was helped by Ng Xin Gen ( current president ). Furthermore, we seek advice from Joe Koay, the last president of Amateur Wireless Society who has maintained good relationships with the workers of Motorola. Besides, the other organizing committee had also put in much effort into the preparation of this trip. 85 members and 2 teachers who were responsible for the safety of the members participated in this visit.

We reached Motorola Factory at around 9 o'clock in the morning on 28th of July. After obtaining the visitor's pass, our guide for that day took us around the factory and gave us detailed information about the products that were manufactured there. We were amazed and impressed by the state-of-the-art technology displayed inside the factory. "Oohs" and " Aahs" were heard from the Form1 and 2 members upon noticing the sleek machinery. The guide was able to answer our queries without hesitation.In a nutshell, it certainly proved to be a eye-opener for us and no doubt that we will be looking forward to visiting the factory again if given the opportunity. It is our sincerest wish that our members will someday work in the electronics industry.

·           P.A. system rented charge per hour used:

·           Less than 2hours : RM40

·           More than 2hours : RM50

·           Staff needed per person is RM 5. (Every 2hour need at least 2 person)

·           2 mic stand provided

·           Extra 1 mic stand : +RM10

·           2 mic provided

·           Extra 1 mic : +RM10

·           Extra 2 mic : +RM10 and Mixer: RM15 (mixer needed for the 4^th mic)

·           Less than 2hours + 2xStaff = RM 50

·           More than 2 hours + 4xStaff(followed by the duration of the duty) = RM 70++

Terms and Conditions

1.      Please take note that only the president and the teacher advisor have the right to change the price list.

2.      Kindly consult our committee members for further clarification.

3.      Booking should be made at least 1 week before the event. We have the right to not accept last minute booking.

4.      During AGM sessions, 10% discount will be given.

5.      During holidays the allowance per staff is doubled and the price for all the equipment will be increased by 10%.

IF ANY OF THE ABOVE PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM EQUIPMENT ARE DAMAGED,

                                        ADDITIONAL CHARGES WILL BE INCURRED.
